Our Story

Art Property Group was founded in Moscow in 2000 by three partners who shared a vision: veteran art director Alexey Sokolov and new architects Dmitry Andreyev and Alexey Prokhorkin. All three were inspired by the idea of creating exceptional living spaces – homes that would articulate their owners’ distinctive personalities.

The Group’s first projects were a resounding success: delighted clients spread the word, and the Group’s portfolio expanded rapidly. Soon, Art Property Group grew into a sizeable architecture and construction holding with a solid portfolio of completed projects, a selection of which can be viewed here.

Private service in architecture and design
The homes we create are more than the sum of their design, construction quality, materials, and furnishings. They are unique residences that reflect their owners’ outlook on life and distinctive taste. They are spaces designed for living well. Lots of developers offer expensive real estate. At Art Property Group, we offer exceptional living spaces.

Elegance and comfort never go out of style. We don’t chase the latest trends. Years or even decades later, our designs will be just as functional, attractive, and comfortable as they were the day you moved into your new home.

Philosophy

Alexey Sokolov

Art-director

Architecture and design have always been propelled by ingenuity and creativity. Over time, the newest trends are adapted to their time and place, as well as to the client’s personal taste.

Very few people wear haute couture. Most prefer prêt-à-porter. According to the French Federation of Fashion, haute couture collections must be at least 70% hand-made. In architecture and design, however, what we would call haute couture is 100% hand-made, from the design to the finishings.

Imagine a custom suit designed to perfectly flatter your figure and hide any faults. The design of your home goes even deeper, revealing the very best of your personality. Some say that only the people living in a home can design its interior, but nothing could be farther from the truth.

No one would argue that you need professional architects and builders to design and build a home. Interior designers, however, often get left out. Think of the Pantheon. What you picture in your mind is an architectural form. An empty shape. But if an empty house or apartment is unattractive, interior design can do nothing to help.

I agree that some people are born with good taste and a feeling for forms, but that’s a rarity. Owner-designed houses and apartments tend to have design flaws that impair their enjoyment, such as poorly planned spaces or a mishmash of styles (what glossy magazines like to call “fusion”).

Good architects and designers don’t impose their taste on the client. Instead, we try to uncover the client’s dreams and desires so that they can take center stage.

Our clients want to live in spaces that are as original as their lives and as perfectly tailored as their clothes. We try to be objective to the point of disappearing. If we do our job right, the finished interior reflects nothing but the client’s personality, only sharper and clearer. You could say that we are selling clients their own individuality. Our experience and good judgment are just the tools that get the job done. A talented jeweler displays a gem’s natural beauty by cutting it. As general contractor, we control each phase of a project, from the first discussion to the day we hand over the keys. We control the quality at every stage by responding with flexibility when things change: client requests, subcontractor deadlines, and even issues with furniture manufacturers. Every detail matters – from the crown molding to the fabric covering the sofa – and in the end, these details come together as the heart of your home.

We believe that fine home architecture and design can only exist in the context of this meticulous approach to quality and detail.
