French style inspired architects to use this texture actively not only in the house decoration but also in the landscape design. As the project consists of a whole complex of structures (a guest house rotunda, the main building, “a green corridor”, entwined with vine) variety of decoration allowed “painting” different pictures in small dimensions which gradually open to the eye like a mountain view in the chalet motherland.

But not only philosophical component makes a chalet so attractive. French “mountain” style turned out an extremely happy choice from the visual stand point. A characteristic feature of a chalet so prolific for decorative fantasies is expressed in different facade finishing facing the four corners of the earth. So the walls facing sunny side, the valley side were traditionally plastered, painted in white lime, and the walls facing mountains were additionally protected with wood planking.

A French chalet is one of the most inspiring images for architects all over the world over. There is the same “warming up” root in its cognate words “chaleur” (ardour, heat) and “chale” (shawl). It is imbued with human symbols of warmth, hospitality, coziness. It is a safe shelter from bad weather in the mountains. It is personal safety, warm feelings within the family and in friendship.
